We have to keep our eyes wide open. Jesus told us that very thing concerning the evil day we find ourselves living in, he told us that deception would rule the day, even among most who claim to be his followers. Jesus made a statement that is shocking to say the least, he asked the question, when The Son of Man returns, shall he find faith on the earth? The asking of this question is also the answering of the same, no, there will be very few who still believe in him at his return.
Apostle Paul talked about a great falling away from the faith, Jesus talked about a time when the love Christian's onced walked in will turn cold as wickedness becomes widespread among them. Paul also warned of these evil days, he also taught the way to escape this great falling away, it is to meet daily and edify each other, I do find it strange that this warning is not being taught by most evangelists, pastors, teachers, so-called apostles and prophets.
Yes, eyes wide open - deception in the name of truth is flourishing and spreading unchecked. For some time I have cautioned Christian's, if faith comes from hearing the Word of God, what do you think comes when all you listen to is what the wicked do? They will find themselves, in the end, doing that which they so eagerly ate. I will spend most of my time studying The Word of God, doing The Word of God, and in prayer. What we choose to spend our time doing, will eventually have a payday.
